The 11th Hamilton Flute Festival
26 & 27 May 2018
with Special Guest Artist Dr. Jonathan Keeble
Professor of Flute, University of Illinois USA
A weekend of autumn flute events for less than the cost of a single lesson! Warm up your term 2 flute studies in 2018 with a weekend of workshops, masterclasses, ensemble playing and performances featuring Guest Artist Jonathan Keeble-USA. We are fortunate to secure this flutist and teacher for a weekend of flute activities. The weekend is designed for flutists from approximately Grade 4 and above and of all ages (including performance majors and teachers). We will again have several split classes to cater for our junior and senior players at the same time. For those who wish to apply, there is the chance to perform for Jonathan in a masterclass setting. The event will conclude late on Sunday afternoon with a small recital of performances from throughout the weekend, including a performance by Jonathan. There will be trade stands including instruments and music available to view and purchase. The registration desk and trade stands will be open from 9am on Saturday morning and classes will begin at 10 am. We'll be finished by 5.30pm Saturday and recommence at 9am Sunday, finishing after the closing concert on Sunday (approx. 4.30pm). Tea and coffee will be provided but please bring your own lunch each day. |
